Chul-Woo Lee has been with the firm since 2011. He has extensive experience in all phases of patent prosecution, working with individual inventors and corporate clients who are building portfolios in medical devices and optics, consumer electronics, mobile software relating to finance and business, business methods, semi-conductors, and airplane-related inventions. Mr. Lee’s practice includes conducting patent reviews and clearance searches, drafting patent applications, and responding to domestic and international Official Communications on behalf of clients.
Mr. Lee had an early interest in math and science which led him to earn his B.S. in mathematics at Pohang University of Science and Technology. He began his career as a math teacher in his native country, South Korea, and also gained experience as a computer programmer for MPEG related software. After coming to the United States in 2004, he earned a B.E. in electrical engineering with a computer science minor at Brigham Young University and earned his J.D. at Touro College. His diverse background made him well-suited for a career in the IP field.
