CDFS Partner Peter DeLuca Participates as Panelist in “IP and Contracts” Workshop at Life Sciences Summit

On Thursday, November 3, 2016 Peter DeLuca participated as a panelist in a Business Workshop relating to “IP and Contracts” as part of the Life Sciences Summit organized by the Center for Biotechnology.   The Workshop included discussions about the importance of clarity in contract terms, preparedness for due diligence, and international filing strategies, emphasizing that thorough and well thought-out contracts can put a start-up company in an excellent position to capitalize on its IP.  In addition to Mr. DeLuca’s perspective as outside IP counsel, the panel included views from an investment banker, a pharmaceutical in-house business development expert, and a pharmaceutical in-house attorney.
